Campbell went on the road Tuesday and set a new mark for made three-pointers in its 94-85 win over Liberty.

The Camels’ Chris Clemons and Marcus Burk hit 10 3-pointers each to become the first teammates in Big South Conference history to make 10 3s. Clemons, a junior guard, a Millbrook High School alum and the fifth leading scorer in the country with 24.2 points per game, was 10-of-14 from behind the line. Burk, a sophomore guard from Indianapolis, was 10-of-16 from 3-point range.

The Camels made 23 3-pointers in 33 attempts (69 percent) in the win. Campbell was one 3-pointer short of the Big South record. The NCAA record is 28 made 3-pointers, set by Troy against George Mason in 1994.

Clemons and Burk also combined for 74 points, breaking a school record for points in a game by teammates. The previous mark was 66, set last season in the CIT first round by Clemons (39) and Burk (27).

Clemons, who broke his own scoring record against Liberty, finished the game with 42 points. Burk scored 32.

The Camels got off to a hot start, hitting 13 3s in the first half. Clemons extended the nation’s longest active double-figure scoring streak to 69 games. He’s also scored at least 20 points in the seventh-straight game. He also has 13 games when he scored 30 points or more.
