EL PASO, Texas

It’s possible that Bradley Chubb played the final game of his storied N.C. State football career back on Nov. 25 against North Carolina, but it hasn’t stopped the ACC defensive player of the year from his very large role with the team.

No one from N.C State is saying if the senior defensive end, who is expected to be a top-10 pick in this spring’s NFL Draft, will play against Arizona State in Friday’s Sun Bowl. Chubb has been at practice but doing very little.

NC State senior defensive lineman Bradley Chubb will play his final game at Carter-Finley Stadium on Nov. 25. Chubb, a mid-season All-American, has set Wolfpack career records for tackles for loss and sacks.

“We’re not gonna talk about it,” N.C. State coach Dave Doeren said on Thursday. “The focus of the bowl season was for the team to benefit from all the work they’ve done. Bradley made it clear he wanted to come down here with his teammates and enjoy their company and the bowl experience and not make it about him.”

While in El Paso with the team, Chubb has taken part in all the festivities around the Sun Bowl. He’s been active on social media, sharing how much fun he’s been having.

“That’s just who he is,” Doeren said. “We’re at the children’s hospital and he’s the first guy in every room. That’s just Bradley. He’s such a great teammate. As big as he’s become nationally, he’s still just a guy that loves being around his brothers and his coaches and the program. He’s a great ambassador. None of that has gotten to his ego or his head, which makes me even more proud to be around a guy like that. It wouldn’t be the same if he wasn’t here being a part of it. He’s part of this program and part of this family.”

NC State senior defensive end Bradley Chubb has earned numerous national awards for his play on the field this season. But did you also know about his other talents?
